I work as a welder, making all sorts of things out of stainless steel so after a while I started to wonder if could I combine the industrial feel of polished steel with the delicate beauty of glass? Well I'm still learning and developing how it's done, and each piece is the result of trial and error. Sculpture has become a much needed creative outlet for me, one I didn't realize was so fulfilling. I draw inspiration from many areas, NZ native birds, to the human form and emotion.
