Where will the exhibition take place?

The exhibition will take place at Estuary Arts Centre, 214 Hibiscus Coast Highway, Orewa, Auckland.

 

What are the dates of the exhibition?

The exhibition will run from 05 – 29 October, 2022

 

Are there a size or material restrictions?

There are no size restrictions, however if you have a particularly large or heavy piece, please contact Kate to discuss placement.

You can enter a body of work which could comprise a group of pieces which make one work, a series of work, or a singular work, however the predominant component must be glass.

Does my piece have to be for sale?

No, your piece does not need to be for sale

 

Presentation of work: 

All works must be packaged in suitable containers for re-packing and dispatch to the purchaser if sold, or to return to artist if work not sold. 

Please label the outside of the parcel with your name, return address, and the name of your piece, and include a prepaid courier docket for return if applicable. 

Who is curating the exhibition?

The exhibition will be jointly curated by Kim Boyd from Estuary Arts, and Kate from GAINZ.

 

What are the terms of participation?

Make sure you read the Terms (Click Here) for all exhibition info, key points are:

  • glass needs to be the predominant focus of the work (because it's a glass exhibition!)

  • the work has been made in New Zealand or by a New Zealand artist since the last Focus on Glass in 2020

  • the work has not been previously been shown on the North Shore, Auckland

  • payment of the entry fee is required to be received for a valid entry.

When is drop off /delivery required to the gallery?

Hand delivery:

·        Saturday 01 October 10am and 3pm

·        Sunday 02 October 10am – 3pm

·        Monday 03 October 9am – 12pm

Delivery By Courier: 

·        from 26 to 30 Sept during office hours.  Address for courier deliveries:  Estuary Arts Centre, Attention Kim Boyd, 214 Hibiscus Coast Highway, Orewa 0931.

Will there be collection points this year?

GAINZ is arranging collection points around NZ so check in with her before couriering as it may be easier / cheaper for you to drop off at a collection point.  

Current Collection Points:

- Rotorua: Amokura Glass -Drop off before Sept 22

- Whanganui: Brown & Co - Drop off before Sept 22

- Whangarei: Keith Grinter Glass - Drop off before Sept 26

- Wellington: Contact kate@gainz.nz to arrange collection before Sept 17

Remember to let Kate know if you are dropping your work to a collection point!!

When can I pick up my work after the exhibition?

Collection of unsold work:  By Monday 07 November until 4pm

Prepaid Couriered work will be packaged and given to the courier by 04 November.
